SIB 2010 Young Bioinformatician Award
This award carries a cash prize of CHF 10,000, and an award certificate. The award is open to any graduate student or young researcher who has carried out a research project centered on the in silico analysis of biological sequences, structures and processes. The candidate must not be more than 32 years old at the time of submission and must have worked in Switzerland for at least 6 months in 2009. The submitted project must be completed or subject to publication within the period June 1, 2009 to June 1, 2010. Applications for the award may be submitted by the candidate or by any SIB group leader or faculty of a Swiss university or federal institute of technology.
The winner of the Young Bioinformatician Award will be designated by members of the SIB Council of Group Leaders and will receive the award during the [BC]2 Conference in Basel on June 24-25, 2010. The winner will also be invited to present her/his project during the conference.
