Evolutionary biology involves the study of the origin of a species and its growth and diversity over time. Phylogenetics focuses on evolutionary relations among the various species by studying molecular sequencing data. Bioinformatics helps support both disciplines – by comparing entire genomes, studying evolutionary events and predicting the outcome of a species over time.
