We are located in the "Centre Médical Universitaire" (CMU) (University Medical Center), which is situated next to the Geneva University hospital (HUG, Hôpital Universitaire Genevois). Below, you will find detailed indications on how to reach us if you arrive by plane, train, bus or by car.
It is easy to get lost in a town which is not yours. So, if you do, simply ask to be directed to the University hospital and once there refer to the local or detailed maps here.
 

If you arrive by plane (Cointrin airport)

PUBLIC TRANSPORTS
The first step is to reach the city center railway station “Cornavin”. You have 2 possibilities:

You can either take the train, the airport railway station is accessible directly from the arrival level. There are approximately 5 trains per hour during rush hour.

Or you can take the bus number 5. The bus stop is in front of the airport on the check-in level.

You must pay your ticket before getting onto the train or the bus. Beware, there are numerous inspections and the fines are expensive! There are machines at every bus stop. Only one ticket is needed: choose the option "tout Genève" (cost: CHF 3.50- ).
Geneva Airport is now offering free public transport tickets valid for 80 minutes to new arrivals. This free ticket can be taken from a machine in the baggage claim area. This ticket is only valid with your flight ticket to prove that you have arrived on that day.

Once at Cornavin railway station, take bus number 1 (direction: "Petit-Bel-Air"). Get off at the bus stop, either “Hôpital” or “Roseraie”, the CMU building is between both on your left. Once at the bus stop use the detailed map here.

TAXI:
You can take a taxi in front of the airport at the same level as the arrivals. It costs about CHF 40.- to come to the 'Centre Médical Universitaire' (CMU). Then refer to one of the maps here.

 

If you arrive by train (Railway station Cornavin)

PUBLIC TRANSPORTS
The bus stop is in front of the railway station (main entrance). You must take a ticket before getting onto the bus (there are machines at the bus stop). Only one ticket is needed: choose the option "tout Genève" (cost: CHF 3.50-, you need the exact change). Take BUS NUMBER 1 (direction "Petit-Bel-Air"). The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the bus stop either “Hôpital” or “Roseraie”, the CMU building is between both on your left. Once at the bus stop use the detailed map here.

TAXI:
You can find a taxi in front of the railway station (main entrance). It costs about CHF 25.- to come to the 'Centre Médical Universitaire' (CMU). Then refer to the detailed map here.

 

If you arrive by car

Take the motorway.

• If you are coming from the Lausanne direction, when approaching Geneva follow the sign for the airport. Go past the airport, continue on the motorway and take the exit "GENÈVE-LA PRAILLE (CAROUGE)".
• If you are coming from France: go through the customs in Bardonnex, and take the motorway that goes around Geneva. Take the exit "GENÈVE-LA PRAILLE (CAROUGE)".

From there...

... follow the signs for "CAROUGE-CENTRE". This should take you through a tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel, turn left at the traffic lights. At the roundabout, continue straight on ("Route de la Fontenette"). Keep going straight on through the next traffic lights (when they are green). You are now on a bridge that crosses the river "Arve".

Turn right off the bridge, into the "Avenue de la Roseraie". Keep going until you see the sign (on your right) for the "PARKING LOMBARD". This is where you could park your car. It costs about CHF 15.- for 4-5 hours. Take the lift to the ground floor ("R"). Then refer to the detailed map here.

Main ground floor entrance to the "Centre Médical Universitaire" (CMU). Enter the CMU from "Rue Michel Servet". This is in fact an entrance for deliveries. Cross the main hall. Take the first corridor on your left. The entrance to the SIB is facing you at the end of the corridor.
